August 2010 Event Announcement
Wow! It's under roof with interior finishes moving right along. Since last month's update, NES Unlimited along with Eng-Mor Construction has put the home under roof and shingles were installed by Eduardo Calderon Roofing. The interior of the home has seen numerous trade partners, from Advanced Heating & Cooling installing the HVAC, Ben Lewis Plumbing installing the gas and water lines, M&G Electric wiring the entire home, ProTex installing the elaborate security systems, O.C. Cluss and Owens Corning installing the first EnergyComplete system, O.C. Cluss along with Anderson Windows supplying and installing the Anderson 200 Series Windows, gas fireplace and garage doors, and J&M Drywall, CSC, and 84 Lumber installing the drywall. Now we are ready for the interior finishes along with all exterior finishes. We would like to thank Trimble Trucking, Rennai, and Prime Manufacturing for all the contributions. The push is on to be ready for the Floor Signing event which all Dream Team partners will be receiving an invitation to. This event will be the "Blessing of the Home". Please make all attempts to attend this catered event and be a part of this ceremonial day.

On May 27, 2010 we held the first official event for the St. Jude Dream Home. The Bricks & Sticks Gala was held
at Hotel Morgan and was attended by the representatives from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Stoneridge
Homes, The Village at Sleepy Hollow, as well as our media partners from WDTV and West Virginia Radio. Also in
attendance were our local trade partners, distributors, and vendors.
Brittany Czonka, Event Marketing Representative for St. Jude, began the Gala with welcoming comments and the
introduction of Dan Warbel, Associate Director of St. Jude, and Russ Laney, Associate Director of Construction for
the St. Jude Dream Home. We then heard some phenomenal speeches from Kevin Abbott who represents The Village
at Sleepy Hollow/Round Table Development, and David Smith, President of Stoneridge Homes who explained how
and why Stoneridge Homes came to be involved with the project, revealed the floor plan for the Home, and thanked all
major subcontractors and suppliers who had committed up until that point.
In addition, there was a touching story about Ben, a patient at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital from West Virginia, and a virtual tour of the Home.
We would like to extend a special Thank You to all who contributed to the success of The Bricks & Sticks Gala:

On June 2, 2010 we officially broke ground for the St. Jude Dream Home! The Groundbreaking took place at
The Village at Sleepy Hollow and was attended by representatives from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,
Stoneridge Homes, and The Village at Sleepy Hollow/Round Table Development. West Virginia Radio brought out
the WKKW van to do some live interviews, WDTV broadcasted our story on the 5 and 6 o'clock news, and The
Dominion Post printed a great article in the paper the next day.
Very exciting! Also in attendance were our most
important guests; some of our trade partners who were asked to share a brief comment on why they felt it was
compelling to donate toward this endeavor.
Thank you to those who made the Groundbreaking such a wonderful event!
